Amaryllis Floral Design was started in 2006 by the owner Helen Fish. Having worked previously in the motor trade for a number of years, I felt the need to change direction in my career.

I wanted to work in an industry that challenged my creative side but still allowed me to interact with customers on a one to one basis. Floristry seemed like the perfect fit, allowing me to be creative, meet different people and work in a local community that I had grown up in and loved.

I felt that customer experience wasn’t always at the forefront of some companies, and personal interaction and understanding wasn’t always available, due to the size and volumes they dealt with. My goal was to offer an exceptional service and drive local value, we call this ‘Service over Size’. Every new business has to have a stratagy, and mine was to start a small business where we could serve our local communities, delivering great value and service, while getting to know our customers personally, therefore enhancing their buying experience in order to gaining loyal customers who would hopefully support us.

In 2021 we moved into much larger premises still in Ossett. This gave us the benefit of increasing choice, pushing value even harder, which gives our customers a much better experience both in person, online and in their pockets. It’s all thanks to a wonderful community, supportive family and brilliant team that we are still here, and pushing harder every day to keep moving forward. Our small but committed team are the real jewel in our business, offering great customer service, personal and helpful advice and always here to support me and our local communities.

We are based in the heart of Ossett, West Yorkshire but now in our beautiful large double fronted shop allowing for easy and hassle-free shopping, having something for everyone. Offering a hand delivered service to all local towns, Horbury, Wakefield, Dewsbury, Middlestown, Earlsheaton, Netherton, Thornes, Walton and Crofton, with the option for Same day Delivery.
