Light
Calathea's need plenty of diffused light, as direct sunlight will cause the leaves to fade. They will tolerate a degree of shade, but the more indirect light, the better the foliage will look.
Watering
Calathea like damp soil but definitely do not let the plant to sit in water or in very wet soil, this will cause root rot. It's better to water 'little and often' as a routine.
Temperature
Ideally temperatures between 18-23°C, but can cope with as low as 15°C, avoid draughts and ensure the plant has reasonable ventilation.
Humidity
Loves high humidity levels, misting frequently is a must to improve humidity conditions.Apply a weak dose of fertiliser once or twice a month during the growing season.
Height & Growth Rate
Calathea Orbifolia is a moderately fast growing plant, reaching heights upto 1 metre, with large stunning leafs.

Images shown in this range are for example of the style and colours that we will make personal for your intended recipient prior to sending. This will ensure they receive the same fresh quality products, at the same great value as our local customers, without the need to visit us directly. Instead we'll carefully and securely box the bouquet, adding a small amount of water, ready for transportation. They'll arrive with clear instructions of what to do, and how to best to care for them, Simple!
We offer several options for this service, (price is per item)-
1.Monday - Thursday 'Next Day' delivery when ordered by 11am - £9.99
2. Same as above but to arrive by 12pm 'Next Day' + £5.00
3. Weekend Delivery 'Next Day' +£7.00

** Although rare, the 'Next Day' service is subject to change if due to poor weather conditions, or unforeseen problems arising outside the control of our courier. If this were to happen before your flowers were sent, we will contact you to discuss the best solution on the day, otherwise we would request that if you had any delivery of product concerns, to please contact us immediately in order for us to help resolve the matter quickly. Please take images of any damage caused in transit, and of the delivery label.
